ResFit Club Offers Exercise and Respite for Caregivers

The ResFit Club is a new program designed to provide caregivers temporary respite from their care giving duties. The ResFit Club will be offered at the Greensboro Sportsplex on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30am-12:30pm. The club provides participants and those with the desire to gain morning access to the facility with the opportunity to partake in recreational and fitness activities to promote health and wellness patterns. Activities offered through the program include: Zumba and AHOY (Adding Health to Your Years) classes, wellness seminars, open play basketball, and our NEW! Healthy Paths walking club. The walking club will provide the opportunity for participants to partake in a self led walking experience with the opportunity to complete daily goals in route to securing prizes. Examples of goals that may be offered include: 10,000 steps per visit, 5 miles per day, walking to Raleigh among others. Prizes will include water bottles, t-shirts, gift-cards and more! Additional details will be provided in the coming days.
